Okay so I've decided I am going to redo some old pieces from 10/11/12 years ago that are a bit rubbish even if I like something about their concept. 3 pieces I have picked out, all Tekken pieces are these:
Marshall Law Vs Baek Doo San, with Marshall standing over Baek. I always liked the concept of this one but artistically it was very dodgy. And due to a suggestion made by I'll change their outfits to Marshall's cook suit and Baek's business suit for the purpose of the redraw.
Hwoarang and Julia in their combat /camo gear. I just liked this combo however the poses are a bit awkward and the background is cheap.
This one mainly because it's possibly the first piece I uploaded to DA, but very scrappy looking. I think redoing it would be a good idea.
Anyway I hope to have these pieces come together sometime soon and hope they work out well...

Major problem - I can't complete anything
Or at least it feels like that sometimes. So many pieces of art I start off with enthusiasm. I draw them and start colouring or scan and start colouring...then suddenly I start to slow down. Next thing I know half a year has passed and the drawing is still there. I've probably returned to it a few times but if I've coloured more than 2% more I'll be surprised.
I just seem to run out of steam and am constantly looking to the next picture I'm going to draw without thinking of the ones I haven't finished.
As an example I recently uploaded a screenshot of most of my "in progress" pieces, :thumb369869736:
The scary thing is that some of tho
I've been on DA for 10 years!!
I only just realised that last month I passed the 10 year mark for being a DA member.
I feel like I should do a celebratory artwork or something...but I won't.
I'm not sure if I've improved that much to be honest. I've maybe improved a little, although very slowly. It has certainly been a fun 10 years. Seeing so many types of art and imagery. There are so many people whose work can inspire me and so many works I am in awe of. There are those who I have seen increase steadily in skill and those budding artists who have a flair for creativity that hasn't been fully developed yet who I can watch progress. The storytelling, the emotive im
Old Tekken fanart
I just found some old Tekken fanarts that I did circa 1999-2001. They were on a tekken fan page that has been out of action for a good few years.
These were all artworks that I thought were long since lost as I no longer had my originals.
So I think I'll have to upload them.
Got me really nostalgic.
The year is almost over....
Well the year is almost over. I hope you all had a nice Christmas/Xmas.
So looking back it would be fair to say this year has been my art resurgence. I believe I submitted 60 deviations this year. By contrast I submitted 1 thing in 2011, 2 images in 2010 and 2 images in 2009.
I've taken an interest in the various contests/tribute projects run by ~Reinhold-Hoffmann (https://www.deviantart.com/reinhold-hoffmann) through his :iconGame-Art-HQ: and :iconFighting-Games-Elite: pages and DA groups.
I feel like I've taken the bull by the horns as the chief Street Fighter EX fanart promoter...as I've produced quite a few pieces relating to the underdog SF series and submitted others' EX artworks to
